CVCS "web marketplace" plan: Russ reported that small amounts of money are starting to be produced by the CVCS Marketplace. However, we need to try to encourage more people to use the marketplace. We plan to put another notice in the newsletter to remind people about it. If possible, we would also like to include information about the marketplace in an e-mail message to parents (parents using e-mail are more likely to use it).
January 26 fundraising lunch for the Rio Fest Environmental Film Festival participants (see the Rio Fest Web site for details). Francie reported that she has made considerable progress on the January 26 Rio Fest fundraising luncheon. She has obtained food and commitments for food from local producers; most at discounted rates, and some ( e.g., Pollo Real chickens) as outright donations. Once we have a complete list of people who donated or discounted their products for CVCS we plan to include this information in the newsletter. Currently, Francie is paying for everything herself, but will submit receipts to CVCS once she has everything. She needs about four adult volunteers to help with the food prep and four kids to act as waiters/waitresses. We will ask for volunteers in the next newsletter, but if you know of anyone who would be willing to help, please have them contact Francie.
