A.  Administrators Report                                                            10 minutes               Dolores

Busing for the days of school after the district is released would cost $2000.  Could we get a carpool for parents who need special help?  Need to get the bussing situation in writing for the next school year.

B.  Business Managers Report                                         10 minutes               Mary C.

            1. Approval of PO’s and BAR’s 

            Beverly didn’t like the BAR’S –Mary had to re-do.  Need BAR for Title money.  Did BAR for landsape money.  Mary needs code for the National Wildlife Federation.  $892.00 BAR from the Smith’s Earn & Learn money.  What to use the money for?  Direct Instructional supplies & Materials.  Need a BAR for the Fall Festival money for playground--$3,104.  Motion to approve BAR’S—All ayes.

Mary talked with Comark about the new building.  They gave us the option of purchasing it for $50,000 with a 30% down payment.  The lease would have a monthly payment of $975.  Delivery charge would be $3,696.  Mary sent purchase order for the playground equipment.  Mary is working on processing the $30,000 refund check from Comark.  Rick Penner, the district auditor will be here Friday morning.  Mary needs to take Norm off of account and get more people so we have four signers on account.  Norm brought state number for the 501 (3) C.                                                  

VI.       New Business

                        1.  Teacher Committee Report                         10 minutes               Dolores

                                    Dolores introduced Shawn Price, the candidate for the 7th grade position.

                        2.  Appointment of New GC Member                        10 minutes               Mary

Hamdy Soliman was introduced.  A motion was made to appoint him to the council.  All Ayes.  This approval is pending amending the charter.

VII.      Public Forum

Discussed the Charter School Conference.  Ruth asked if we had asked a district board member to go.   Ruth is sending us an award letter and will pay up to $1,170/person.

                        June 5, 2002.  Special meeting to approve BAR’S.
